I'm getting a replacement SIM card soon as recently I haven't been able to get a bar of consistent signal outside my home. The only data type I can manage on it is H+.  It used to skip to 4G immediately. WiFi is fine. I have switched my phone off and back on, cleaned the card and tried airplane mode to see if any of that helped. It did not.

What I'd like to know is, with this new card, will it be straightforward to keep my number?

Assuming you're staying with the same provider, the easiest way might be to phone them and ask them for a replacement SIM with your number on it.  Some providers (I believe EE do) allow you to order a replacement SIM via your online account.

If you're changing providers, you'll need to text "PAC" to 65075 from your current phone to get a PAC code, then provide this code to your new provider when you activate your replacement SIM.

But are you sure the SIM card is the problem?  Have you tried your current SIM in another phone to see if the signal is any better?

I don't have another phone to try it in. Or a properly working one, at least. The SIM has already been ordered, though, from my current provider.size]

They may automatically have put your number on the new SIM.  If not, I guess you'll have to ask them to do so.

Why do you make your text large?

If you have trouble reading, wouldn't it be better to zoom in on the site instead, as nobody else writes in large text?

Harsh comment! Peasblossoms text looks fine to me.
