I think my take on the 'Mac' issue can be summarised in this rather pointed article.

Which I hereby dedicate to all three Mac users around here!

Sky/Easylink LLU. Thankfully! ;-)

Soon to be four *ahem* I so cannot wait  ;D
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

 :hehe:

And you, Gary, had the cheek to lecture *me* about the evils of computer obsession.  ;D

No I just hate having all the grief of a system that offers nothing new takes more looking after, a mac does not at this time need layered protection with the risk of false positives, updating each of these apps daily and scanning etc, and no registry issues to try and fix or which litter and trip over other programs, so at the end of the day its less obsessive and easier to use  ;D

And not only that, Gary, you also lectured me all about the pleasures of sitting outside in the garden and sleeping with 'wifey' rather than messing around wasting time with technology, and here you are about to embark on the biggest waste of time (and money) by becoming 'Macced'.  :shake:

So you'll soon be curled up in bed with a Mac. Are you sure there's enough room for 'wifey' as well?  ;D

Buying a Mac is definitely not a waste of time or money, though it would impose on garden/wifey time. :eyebrow:

Rik

Though not as much as a Windows box. ;D

;D

When I posted it, I wondered how many people still have window boxes. They were commonplace when I was a kid, but I haven't seen one in years.

I've not seen one for a long time either, Rik. :)

Hanging baskets seem to have taken over, that or most people now have gardens...

I have a wildlife garden, ie I hate gardening.

Me too, Glenn, I have brown fingers. Sue told me to do some weeding years ago, and I managed to pull out all the plants and leave the weeds. If it's not grass or a rose, I haven't a clue.

Glenn

I don't have any weeds, a weed is a plant you want in your garden

That should have said " a weed is a plant you don't want in your garden"

Well, a Mac's a bit like a weed. Thankfully it's not as prolific.  ;D

I have no weeds as land is concreted and/or paved over. Thankfully.  ;)

Rik

I've always fancied that idea, but Sue doesn't.  :'(
