Title: Outlook 2007
Post by: Den on Aug 14, 2008, 22:15:56
Any one know how to restore past events in outlook calender. Mine seem to be deleted after 6 months has past so I assume they are put in a file but I want to restore them.  :(

Den, if you've got auto archiving set up you should find them in this  file: -

C:\Documents and Settings\User name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst

This file can be opened and viewed in Outlook if you haven't enabled auto archiving as far as I'm aware your they should still be in the default pst file.

Whenever I try to reinstate them it keeps telling me that the file is allready in use. HELP I can now only look at my calender back to the 5th May. :bawl:

Have you closed Outlook before trying to copy and open the PST file?

I don't think you can import them back from an archive file, Den, all you need to do is open the archive pst file and then go to calendars and you should then see another entry -Calendar in archive folder if you then tick the check box by this entry it will display the calendar from this file.
