From 16:42 to 17:01. Nothing local to explain it, came back up with a higher sync speed, so I'm guessing BT did something at exchange or cable level.
I've just checked my logs and had no disconnection at that time. As you say, Rk, it's most likely local exchange work
No loss of sync here, Rik.
I did 3 times between 16.46 & 16.47, but it might be just my bad line playing games, the errors were ERR_CRC_MISMATCH

Can';t say I have any had any problems (and I've been keeping a close eye on my connection after installing a new router on Tuesday morning).
Apart from loosing DNS for a short while just after 21:00 on Wednesday things have been rock staeady here (dsl4).
ppp lost at 04:19 last night for 5 minutes. Not that I noticed but just see it in the log.
Nothing that I can see here either.
A friend about 3 miles away has lost synch, 3 times yesterday evening, once overnight and once this afternoon.
Have told him to put it down to the exchange. Hope it's not the radius servers @ BT again.
The radius servers would only cause a loss of PPP (or subsequent inability to log on). Sync is normally a more local issue and if it is BT involved, it'll be at the exchange most likely (as you've correctly said).
Thanks, everyone. That confirms my suspicions about BT, 20 minutes is a typical window for them.

What a silly comment. Vista takes much longer than that! :out:
