Title: Outlook express spell checker
Post by: Den on Aug 05, 2008, 21:49:33
After installing Office 2007 my spell checker in Oulook Express reverted to French only. I know that this is normal when installing Office 2007 but how the hell do I get around it when I want to run OE.
Does anyone know of a free spell checker for OE or have I got to pay for one.  :(

i assume that your version of office doesn't include outlook? If it does, i highly recommend using it, as it is a much better program than outlook express.

I think this is a known bug, and the only 'fix' is to revert back to Office 2003, or find a third party spell checker, Den.

I wonder if Windows Live Mail would suffer the same problem. It might be worth a go - it's better than OE anyway.

Agreed Seb, I changed over to it, all settings etc. transferred automatically. :thumb:

I use Outlook in the main but sometimes I find it usefull to receive or reply on one of my email address's using OE.
It does not matter that much but I get cross when, because of MS stupidity I can no longer use one of their own programmes as it was designed.

MS ceased to support Hotmail via OE, not sure if that is related Den.
