I've been looking at them myself, but I really can't justify it while my current monitor is perfectly OK.

Simon, it's a tv as well, surely that justifies it :)

I got one like that, but a 26" version.

Mine cost me £450 a few months ago.

Samsung does make some good stuff

Hope their monitor drivers have improved, the one that came with my 22" one was awful, had to calibrate it myself (which you should do anyway) as photoshop saw the monitor profile samsung provided as corrupt :( that was on a Samsung 226cw, watch out for the shiny piano black, scratches if you sneeze on it, use the enclosed cloth very carefully :thumb:

I hesitate to ask what you've been sniffing, Gary. ;D :out:

Cat hair mostly, Rik ;D but the finish is very delicate sadly, and suffering OCD as you know the first scratch in mine using a microfiber for cloth for cleaning caused me no end of discomfort as it was no longer as perfect as I would have liked, hopefully the finish is more robust now but I have seen other reports of it scratching with ease, you have to run the cloth in one direction only otherwise it makes even more tiny scratches, I would hate to have a TV with that finish of any large size like 32"- 40" it would look awful very quickly :(

Only downside that I can see with it is (a) the piano black finish, not to my taste and (b) the 3watts channel speakers, which is OK for a monitor, but a bit weak for a TV.

Otherwise it looks stunning.

Do you still need the frankincense? To be honest just give me the gold, I'll get a new one
