My connections just dropped 3 or 4 times. My sisters did too, a mile up the road from here.
Is this local due to storms, or is it an IDnet issue?
Mine did too:

Didn't notice anything though.
Just had an overlapping incident on ventrilo too.
Mine dropped as well.
Mine dropped twice.
Mine dropped as well here in darkest Yorkshire, back to normal now though :fingers: ;D
Like Nial I live in Wrexham (about four mile from him), but had no problem here :eyebrow:
Mine dropped twice earlier today and then required a reboot of my router to reconnect
:rant2:
Mine dropped too. Same time. Seems it was IDNet then.
My guess is some work being done on the centrals, possibly by BT or maybe just some manual rebalancing by Idnet. Just a guess though.
I just checked my router log and had one PPP disconnect too. It sounds like it was just a glitch. :)
Mine is clear. It's not a GW5/DSL4 split, so I'm not sure what happened. I'll try to find out.
Thanks Rik.
Haven't got anywhere yet, nothing showing at IDNet Towers, so Tim was going to be looking at the BT logs.
Yup, my connection was down last night - and we had lots of thunder and lightning over the estuary (North Kent) and I got plenty of interference on satellite TV, another indicator of big storms in the area. Perhaps they were related...
It's certainly possible, though I'd expect it to cause sync issues rather than PPP.
My sister's connection went completely pear shaped after the storms. Their profile was 156 :D In the end IDnet had to call BT to get them to reset the line, rather than wait for days to reset itself.
My connection is ok.

Was anything discovered about this, Rik?
I didn't get told anything, Noreen. :'(
