Title: Silverlight

Hi all

Just updating my computer and it has come up with a load of guff about silverlight.  What the hell is it? what does it do? More MS bloatware?

Could someone please explain in plain english  :thumb: :shrug:

I've not yet come across a website using it, but from what i've read it won't be long. Apparently it is more flexible and easier to code than flash.

I checked a couple out and the video was exceptional quality, much better than flash, I was pleasantly surprised

Ive only just disabled flashblock for ff, I only did that because the anklebiter goes on cebeeies an dr who websites.....

Like everyone has said it's Microsoft answer to flash, although some are saying it's quite alot better. I know Microsoft have been pushing it out quite a lot. I even got it unsuspectingly on my Mac with Microsoft Office.

Microsofts update site will use it in the future, they are beta testing at the moment.

I use it to watch baseball on mlb.tv. Works great, no problems....
