Title: How do you fit a filtered faceplate
Post by: old Bill on Nov 30, 2006, 17:47:48
Hi,
Having followed  your advice i have brought a XTE-2005 filtered faceplate from ADSL Nation. Not quite sure how you fit it. Am i right in thinking that you just unscrew the lower part of the face plate and then plug this in to the test socket, Or do you have to do some hard wiring ? Looking at the plate i have removed there are no wires conected to it.

Assuming you have an NTE5 BT master, you should be able to simply unscrew the original plate, and screw your new adsl faceplate into its place.  The plate simply plugs directly into the test socket.  Both the NTE5 and the adsl faceplate you have allow you to hardware, but the adsl faceplate allows you to hardware both an unfiltered adsl cable, and filtered phone extensions (well mine does, I got mine from Clarity a while back)
