Title: Peak Bandwidth Notification
Post by: Pez on Jul 08, 2008, 00:37:11
I just checked my emails and I've received an email from IDNet Support Team, telling me that my Bandwidth usage, if carried on for the month will be well over my limit! I just thought I would comment and say that this is a good system, I don't always check my bandwidth usage via the Customer Account sectoin on the website. Although I'd prefer to have unlimited bandwidth, even just offpeak, this is still a good system! Anyone else had one of these emails?

QuoteOver the time period 1/7/2008 to 7/7/2008 (6 days) you have downloaded 15.87 GB of data. Your monthly allowance is 60GB, 30GB of which can be used during the Peak Hours of 9am to midnight.

Based on your current level of usage, your projected bandwidth use (data download) for a 30 day time period will be: 82 GB.

If your current bandwidth usage continues then this would equate to an excess bandwidth charge of: £52 [£1.00/GB] for this month.

Ouch, £52 :O

Yes, it's a good system, Pez.  Thanks for your positive comments.  :)

I sometimes get them, but it depends on how much I have downloaded early on in the month!

I tend to use the RSS feed to keep an eye on my usage. :)
