If you have upgraded from FF2 to FF3, and are missing the yellow address bar indicating an encrypted website, you may want to have a look here for a 'hack' which will bring it back:

Nice find, Simon. :thumb: :karmic:
Thanks, Simon. I believe Lona had this issue the other day. :)
Yes, Lona did mention it.

Many thanks Simon.
I confirm that the hack does work in Firefox 3 running under Ubuntu Linux 8.04 Hardy Heron.
Cheers,
JB.
I just went into View at the top and clicked status bar which was unticked. :)
But does it show yellow for secure sites, Lona?

Do you mean the wee padlock, Simon?
The 'wee' padlock ;D is now in the lower right hand corner, isn't it? I'm on SeaMonkey at the moment, but thought the address bar didn't turn yellow on encrypted sites, like it did with FF2. This hack is supposed to fix that. :)

Don't mention SeaMonkey, I'm just getting used to Firefox. Wish you wouldn't put ideas into my head, Simon. ;)
