I'm not a believer in "real" Karma but, tomorrow morning i'm leaving my house at 9am to pick up my new "ebay" trailer in Chorley at 11am. So this won't affect me at all :thumb:

Makes you wonder!

I'd imagine it will be a very small outage anyway. :)

No, James. Your connection won't be affected, only certain parts of the network will (and not all at once).

Well there was me thinking "so far, so good" as I'd seen no effect of the works yet, when the forum broke   ;D

OTOH, it was down for less than 5 minutes. :)

Oh yes it didn't last.  The timing just made me chuckle.  I had literally just read this thread and said to myself that I hadn't noticed anything yet and the very next link I hit didn't work.  I don't think any of us mind things breaking temporarily especially when we are given warning.  I've been with IDNet almost a year now and I've never been with an ISP for so long and still feel happy.  Usually I'm ready to leave after the year is up.

I know how you feel, Ann, IDNet is my 17th ISP.

Simon expected it to be a plug'n'play upgrade and, so far so good.

Of course, he does still have an hour to mess with our minds.  >:D Like taking us down for another 5 minutes.
