Anyone noticed any strange bandwidth use overnight. According to the rss feed I managed to download 3.8Gb overnight offpeak. This is a surprise as no PC's in the house were turned on and the router log is only showing sntp activity. It is wireless using wpa2 personal.I have contacted support.
Nothing odd here, Steve.
Just checked... :eek4: 2.78 GB, I don't use that amount in a fortnight, something is very wrong here, thanks for the heads up Steve.
I havn't downloaded anything the last 24 hours either. :o
So I can remove my hands from my son's throat then, as I am not the only one suffering :)
Indeed Steve, it looks that way, reported to IDNet.
I am assuming the BT blip has thrown things upside down. ;)
It's a distinct possibility. The BT fault was almost certainly with their radius servers, which are used to update bandwidth usage.
Update. I'm told that BT was effectively telling IDNet that people were connected and transferring data when, due to the failure, they were unable to connect.
If anyone feels they have incorrect usage showing on their account for last night, please email support with details.
Something changing anyway, its gone down from 3.8Gb to 0.78Gb for 05/08 off peak. Still incorrect though. :)
Good old BT. They don't do things by halves, do they? ::)
Got this from James;
We are aware of the problem and your figures should show the correct
information shortly.
;)
Now showing 0.1, that's more like it... :thumb:
Oh, James did say that it is related to the BT problem, good old BT. ;D
Swiftly and quietly delt with, and fixed, by INDet, again.
Result. :thumb:
Mine looks to be OK. There'd have been trouble if mine showed anything since Monday, since I haven't been at home ;)
Well done, IDNet. :thumb:
Not quite, I still have an off peak download of 0.78Gb with no computers at that time connected or signs of activity in the router log :)

I'm in the same boat. Showing 1.01GB last night. Previous nights this month .01, .02 and .03 Gb. All computers off and no wireless enabled. As of 5.30 this evening still showing wrong figures.
Have dropped a message to IDNet.
Regards,
JB.

Drop them another note, Steve. They will be having to manually correct all the data.
I have contacted them again after the initial reply from James implied that things had been sorted
He probably thought they had at the time. ;D
My over-reading was resolved by James first thing this morning. Now all OK.
Excellent service :thumb:
JB.
I emailed support last night as mine was also wrong, and James also sorted mine out this morning! Nice and fast service as usual!
Mine now resolved to my satisfaction, not used to sending emails to an ISP support team saying "thank you" :)
You'll get used to it, Steve. :)
