Title: Finger in the air test...
Post by: Nova on Jun 03, 2008, 04:11:57
Just pulled the stats from my router, fairly curious to see how this compares and if I should be investigating poking the internal wiring any:

ADSL Link                  Downstream     Upstream
Connection Speed       8128 kbps        832 kbps
Line Attenuation          24 db              5.5 db
Noise Margin                8 db                15 db

You've got top sync and a decent noise margin. Unless you see the noise margin drop at night, significantly, then I would leave well alone!!!

Sorry to disagree with the others these stats are in fact rubbish. may i suggest you pull all your wiring apart to the point where you don't know where to put it all back.

;D
