Hmmm. Just seen Scott's post about having changed the forum's CSS to underline URLs, but I really don't see it myself. Here's a URL : http://www.idnet.net (http://www.idnet.net)
Don't see the underline :( Color change, yes, underline no.
Oooh ... answering myself ;)
Underlines don't show up in Firefox 2, but do in IE7
You beat me to it
Since I only use FF, I don't suppose I'll be getting the benefit then. :(
The colour seems fine here, if its changed at all, never really noticed, but I have no issues seeing it on top of the forums blue background :)
They show up in FF 1.5.0.8
Just found the setting in Tools->Options->Content->Colours ... you can choose to have links underlined there.
Working now ... sorry for the waste of bandwidth.
underline shows in my firefox 2 :P
Shows underscored in Opera too.

Yes, works for me too, thanks.

Bill Ive been using Opera for a few weeks and have got to say its miles better than FF & IE7 i honestly don't know why its not more popular.
The "Wand" is my fave by far. ;)

Weird, underlining works now. I simply browsed to the above setting in options, then cancelled out, and links became underlined!
Yes, exactly the same thing happened to me, as it happens. I was sure I'd hit Cancel, but began to doubt my sanity when the underlines sprang into life. Convinced myself I must have hit OK instead. Weird.
Don't know about Opera personally - used it years ago, but then started to use Roboform. But since RF doesn't support Opera, that's the end of Opera for me :)

Opera has "the wand" its part of the tool-bar, when you log into a forum and fill password boxes it offers to save it, if you say yes the next time you visit the log in page the "wand" button lights up , you click it and it fills the user-name & password.
Interesting. Do you know if the passwords database is
1) encrypted
2) synchronizable across multiple PCs, on a per password basis (i.e. not all or nothing)?
Can't really manage without these capabilities which Roboform offers very cleanly
I didn't look into it as i have the PC set up with an account for myself and one for the wife both have passwords and my son has his own PC so doesn't use this one.

Glad you like it :D Odd though, I don't use the wand...
I also don't really know why I prefer it to Firefox, they're quite similar. Opera just "feels" lighter and more responsive somehow....
Let's not mention IE :P

Yes, the data is encrypted (here (http://help.opera.com/Windows/9.02/en/wand.html)), not sure about sync'ing across multiple machines.... I think it can be done, but it's not something I need so I've never investigated.
All...I've updated the stylesheet that runs the forum to ensure that all URL's now show as underlined. Changing the presentation of the html in your preferred client IS a work-around but nothing more and is far from optimal in terms of client compliance and usability.
If you revert your browsers to the 'default' setting (ie not overriding site css or html) urls will now all show up underlined.
cheers

Thanks Scott ;)
