Title: Recovery software
Post by: Glenn on May 13, 2008, 17:46:47
Guys, a quick question, my brother just brought a Dual SSID 2700 with the VCI set to 35, he asked my the following;

Do you reckon my router can use the recovery software

Serial Number:

300611033661

Hardware Version:

2701-100588-005

Software Version:

5.29.117.3

Any ideas?

None, I'm afraid, Glenn. Can he not simply factory reset it, then do a manual setup?

You can use the SingTel 5.29.117.3 Firmware but NOT the SBC 4.25.19 Firmware.

Tell him to look HERE (http://bt2700hgv.tripod.com/ir1002700HGV.htm#Dual%20SSID%202700HGV) for more info.

Cheers Ted, I'll point him there.

He may join the forum too.

He can't use the recovery firmware. What's the problem? If it's that the VCI is set to 35, that can be changed...

No need to change the firmware, just run the System Setup from the Home page, it allows you to select the correct parameters

Follow this Simple Guide (http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=5295.msg102417#msg102417) for a troublefree setup.
