I'm pleased to say that the SingTel Firmware 5.29.117.3 works perfectly on a Single SSID 2700hgv :thumb:
All signs of BT are now removed :thumb:
Everything seems stable works as it should.
The wireless power is from 1 to 6. not sure what they equate to yet. The connection to the laptop downstairs seems better.
The wireless channels are 1 to 13
Just did a speed test at 6463kbps ;D

Have a look Here (http://bt2700hgv.tripod.com/ir1002700HGV.htm#Dual%20SSID%202700HGV) for dual + SingTel flashing. Also i think Kinmel has flashed a dual.
Once i know everything's ok with this single ssid, I'll definitely flash the dual ssid as well ;D
The configuration page defaults to SingTel settings and the firewall is default so i would say yes, everything is reset.
All the Voip stuff appears intact but i don't use it so can't say if its functioning properly. Can't see why not though.
It looks as if you can get content screening by connecting back to the BT provisioning servers for a while and then back again ;D

I have put the Singtel on a couple of Dual SSIDs, no problems at all. It removes all of your settings and comes up in Factory Reset state.
If you do it, the MDC password is
2wire, all lowercase.
The highest known firmware for changing back from the Singtel at the moment is
bt-2700hgv_reinstall_voice_adsl.5-29-107-12.2sp, unless someone has a later version for us.

No, it just has the highest version number so far

Personally i would say no. you can always flash back to BT if it is ;D
Shouldn't be an issue, it'll just result in a slightly lower sync (unless you sync at 8128 with plenty of margin to spare!).
It wouldn't be an issue for me as my target is 9, but as DNS poisoning isn't required on the dual SSID, I don't think I'll bother. :)

now this is purely aesthetically speaking but, SingTel gives me Karmic waves "AaaaaHmmmmmmmmmm" where as BT gives me "Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"

Me too, that's why i waited for this one to turn up. Just happened to be a single ssid so i had a choice, SBC or Singtel :thumb:

Well after upgrading the firmware the target is definately 9.
Its resynced once. Normally i get stability around the 3500 mark anyhigher and it resyncs due to errors and the snr dropping. hoping target being 9 i should now get a more stable line.

since loading it on a dual ssid 2700 i have not had a single re-sync, as many of you know this used to be a real problem.
in 12 days no re-sync.
before the most i ever achieved was 10 days (and that was when the trains were not running most of the time!)
seems the 9db target has actually done me good i would rather have reliability over speed anyday whats 500K-1Mb increase in speed good for if you re-sync every 2-3 hours?especially for gamers and voip users.

Bit of a late addition. I've just flashed to this firmware to see if I get anymore joy from my router/line. I can't seem to access home/tech or home/mdc. I enter the password "2wire" but it says "unknown error has occured" above the password box. I can't seem to get in... ???
Any ideas?

Try going to the log in page and click on "i forgot the password" and reset the system password.
To get the firewall monitor, click on "view available upgrades and options" that should do it, it did for me.

and then my user set password. :shake:

you could also try a factory reset, see if that helps. (paper clip in the hole on the back for 30secs)

Hmm.. unlike all the other firmwares, the Singtel defaults to a password, if you can't get it to accept
2wire then you can't re-flash it.
Well I couldn't wait. haha :D I have no patience.
I pressed the button on the back of the 2700 unit, kept it in and then unplugged the power when all the lights went out. Booted back up, and reflashed the firmware again. It now lets me in with "2wire". Yey! :thumb:
However, I'm still trying to get the additional features to appear... so far, no luck. But I have just clicked "view available upgrade options" and it seems to now be thinking about something, and not giving me the URL error as before. So it may appear.... :eyebrow:
If not I'll try one more reset and flash and try a different security key.
