Hmm, it does look like PPP only. I'd let support know.

The just comes back up on its own, no reboot needed, strange stuff in the logs.  ???

don't know if i'm concerned enough to bother support. Yet!

Came back up at over 6.6mb download, go figure?

Have you asked IDNet for an explanation? Remember, this is an unofficial forum.

I've been putting it down to the BT maintenance as it only seems to happen after we've been warned about said maintenance. :)  I wouldn't panic! hehe

As Sebby said, this is an independent forum, and I would encourage you to contact IDNet about the problem. Unless people tell them that it's happening, they don't know there's an issue - the 21:13 downtime from Tuesday didn't show in their logs.

Fwiw, I didn't experience any downtime last night.

TBH i'm not that concerned at the moment, its just nice to know you're not the only one, although it seems i was with this one, certainly doesn't appear to be as widespread as the last one.

No problems here at all, no downtime, interruptions or anything else.  Sounds local individual areas to me, perhaps BT but please let support know with log details if possible, if they are not informed by their users then they won't know about any problems users have.  Idnetters can only help so far they are NOT idnet but an independent forum.

The thing is, Ted, if we tell IDNet we're seeing reports of problems, but no-one is contacting them, it doesn't carry much weight. If individual members/customers contact them, they will get a better idea of the extent and spread of the issue.

BT did send us a notice of Emergency Maintenance late yesterday where they have replaced a power supply that glitched the night before. The maintenance affected two of our realms, all others were unaffected.

While i was making that last post i suffered a complete loss of sync, it came back up to its usual 7616 and the margin went from 11 to 12.
This hasn't happened for as long as i can remember!
