Got cut off from the net again, exactly 1.58 am, same as last week, exact same time, only off for around 10 minutes.
Strange??
Very strange In - it's not accompanied by any strange noises is it? Bumps in the night or anything like that? ;D
It sounds like BT going bump in the night, In. :(
That's the time the Hoobs in on Channel 4...
It's a sign, In, saying...
GO TO BED!!! ;)

Very. Are you losing sync or just the PPP session?
Sync Seb...at least this time I didn't get a speed drop.
I have racked my dim grey matter to try to find a link to the time, the only one that I have come up with is Windows Defender daily update, it updates at around that time. I cannot see how the two can be related, however I have now switched off WD update, so see what happens.
Thanks.
It wouldn't be something like storage heaters switching on, would it, In?
It is a possibility Rik, as I have said before, my Economy 7 clock is running slow, and yes they do come on around that time, but I thought at 1.50am, but I may be wrong.
I will check that out, the one in the hall has a light on the fused spur, so easy to see exactly when they kick in.
:thnks: :thumb:
The sort of mains 'thump' that storage heaters switching produces could just explain it. Or maybe not - see Tim's announcement on yet more BT engineering work. I get the strong impression that this is an overrun from the previous batch.
Indeed Rik, it could well do I suppose, I will certainly keep a check on it.
I read Tims Announcement, I agree, I suspect that " ongoing " until further notice may have been more applicable from BT.
Agreed, I suspect it should also read, "Oh, and we've been having a bit of a tinker for the past couple of weeks, but it wasn't so widespread that we could be bothered to tell you..."
Exactly, whilst annoying the living daylights out of some customers.
Not to mention support staff. There really is a strong case for separating out the infrastructure as with the rail system.
That would be ideal, however, I think we both know that it ain't gonna happen any time soon. >:(
It might, if it was politically expedient... No, you're right, not in my lifetime. >:(
I suspect something like heating too. The fact that the time is identical every morning would suggest it might not be BT for once!

Oi! I've got the copyright on that one Rik! That'll be royalties of one Mars Bar if you please. :thumb: ;D :choc:
I just like to spread the word, Bruce. :)
I think it's Mrs In is pulling the plug out the socket, time for bed ;) >:D
