Hi, have a netgear wireless wpn824v2 router but am unable to get through the setup stages. The software says it cannot detect my modem to complete the setup, but it is installed and a connection is there. I have tried turning off my firewall and anti virus software but i cannot get passed this stage and its getting frustrating. Sometimes it also says rather than there is no internet connection there is no response.
I have scanned the net but cannot find any answers so thought I may try here. I have also disabled all my other network connections but again to no avail

Sorted it now, its for cable modems which the nice guys at PC World or Netgear negated to tell me.
