my darn line seems to have hit a road block on speed

but i supose it nice that im getting the same results from the test socket as i get with all the digi boxes pluged in.
Looks like you have interleaving on, Colin.
Yep, it'll be interleaving. I can't say for definite, but I suspect your line would be fine interleaving off, which would allow you to sync at 8,128 and give you a 7,150 profile. :thumb:
What I would do have those stats!!!
I think he will take at least 2 weeks to contact IDNet to ask for interleaving to be turned off. :P
makes me sick >:(
stats like that shouldnt be allowed.
give me his address i have a spare attenuator...
lol
and this line once apon a time wouldnt go above 4.5 just goes to show how much an improvment you get if BT replace all the wiring in your street.
well the phone call has been placed which resulted in me having to e-mail them
Excellent. :thumb:
what is the idnet support email address
support@idnet.net
Where did you find that Seb?, surely not on the IDNet Web Pages. ;D :duck:
Or here (http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=1904.msg37785#msg37785).
It's a secret address that only we know. :admin: :legpull:
It's so secret that I know it, and I'm not even a customer :P
welll
with interleaveing off i get a sync of

What are your pings like now, Colin?
You've now got full sync, Colin. You should see your profile update to 7150 in a few days. :thumb:

I suspect you may have traded speed for stability to an extent, Colin. It would be worth plotting a larger number of pings, either with the -n switch, say -n 100, or using Ping Plotter or Pin Graph. If you ran a 24 hour test to IDNet with the latter, then let support have the results, they could look at what is happening.
could it be a result of the profile still being at 6500k
No, the variation in pings wouldn't be affected by the profile but could be being affected by packet loss.
By comparison, mine are in a tighter group:

you mean your jitter is less Rik

Are you bugging me, Dean? ;D

huh?
oh you mean you just thought that?
My age is showing, Dean - 1940s dance, the jitterbug... :)
high jitter=poor voip quality and possibly gaming if its really bad.
Just for info
I'm still trying to convince Colin to come into SL. That's usable (just) with pings over 1000ms.
I think he wants speed too much.
second life is never going to happen now
Aww, why?
cause your mean
are we having are morning convo here cause i cant be arsed to login to msn
Okay, we can have it here.
I actually went to Asda yesterday.
haha
