What a strange thing for MS to do, and then continue to do.  ???

Don't know where he gets his UK pricing from though, I can't find anyone selling Vista Home Premium upgrade for £50 at the moment, more like £125 where I've looked.  ???

I don't think windows ever asked for the key for the old version anyway so they have no way to tell if you are upgrading from a legit copy or a copy from TPB.

Though if you are going to bend/break the rules anyway you may as well buy system builder packs. They are cheaper than upgrades and if you buy more than a certain number you can register as a system builder and get support (which will probablly be better support than retail purchasers get).

Ah, so it's not including a hack as such, they just haven't taken that "feature" away with SP1. That's a good thing, if you ask me; I myself bought the upgrade - after all, I own XP, so why should I shell out for the full version of Vista? And I still want to be able to do a clean install. I think there would be outrage (not that they'd probably care) if they'd taken that feature away.
