Im not sure if this is the right place to post this but anyways here goes.
As everyone knows the world of buying a new pc is a minefield and advise conflicts from time to time on what is needed and for what price so i thought i would post a few links to some companies i researched when i was looking for a new pc
1. http://www.wired2fire.co.uk/ I called these guys and they are extremely helpful and very knowledgable, they offer some great pc's with good components (ideal for gaming)
2. http://www.meshcomputers.com/ A more varied offering at sometime slightly higher prices for what you get, More proffesional sales team if not a slightly less personal feel.
3. http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/ Again a little like meshcomputers but they do offer some superfast pc's and good prices.
All of the above offer a custom configuration service.
Please feel free to add to this post
http://3xs.scan.co.uk/ - High quality enthusiast computers
http://www.controlpc.co.uk/ - Highly customisable, contact for a quote
http://www.specialtech.co.uk - Good for system builders (its not that hard!)
http://www.ebuyer.com - Improved a lot recently on RMA's plus nice prices
I got the bits for my current PC from Scan, and can recommend them. Their returns policy in particular if you have problems with anything means they just take it back and you don't have to employ a lawyer to prove it was broken when you got it. And they collect at no charge to you.
They also do assembled PCs, but I've not tried them for that.
Mesh used to have an awful reputation for service, don't know about them now. Their machines were always good value, but if they broke down and you needed help, then they were reported as being useless.
I think the key to any good company is the after care service (hmmm that why you with idnet :) ) i havent brought anything from mesh but its a good place to have a nose around on the site to give you some idea's
