Title: I have a new DG834N Router
Post by: bob_s on Mar 28, 2008, 19:22:53
Hello

I have today installed a new DG834N Netgear router.

The good news is it now syncs at 8000Kbps when before it was always around 6000 with the old DG814

Two questions if you would be so kind to help me with.

How long will BT take to reset the profile, its currently at 5000 with the older router?

Do the stats below look ok?

Hi Bob

Nice improvement. Your profile will probably take 5 days to move to the 7000k level, providing the router can hold that speed. If you're really lucky, it could be as little as 6 hours.  :fingers:

Good improvement. Hopefully it won't be too long for the profile to rise, but no more than 5 days anyway. :)

Thanks for the hints on the time to change profile, I just thought I would update that the profile has now improved, today its now at 6500

My router couldn't maintain the sync speed for all of the last few days, I tried a couple of resets to try and get the speed improved.  Only once a day so as not to upset the bt equipment making it think I had a problem.

Annoyingly my router is today syncing at 8096, but maybe if I am lucky it will hold.
