There is a game called pet vet 3D that I can only source on Ebay from the US, my kids want to play it on my PC , but I know its in NTSC format and not PAL. Would this format render the game unplayable on my PC here in the UK seeing as it is CDROM based ?
James
No idea, tbh, James. Is it also regionalised?
This might help . http://www.hometechanswers.com/codefreedvd/code-free-players.html

Don't think that the CD Rom will have trouble playing the disc -think the problem will be if it can output the signal to your monitor in a way that it can display ie it will possibly be juddery, or black and white etc
There should be no such thing as an "NTSC" or "PAL" PC game. The term should only be relevant to games for consoles as they output video to display on a regular TV. Your PC monitor has a range of resolutions and refresh rates it supports and these should have nothing to do with TV standards at all. I'd be far more worried if I had Vista that it wouldn't work.
As long as it's not mega bucks I would go for it :)

Dangerjunkie is right. CDROM have no region protection, and PAL/NTSC is *only* for console games, because the consoles directly output to TV. It does not matter for PC monitors.
