suffering from high pings after 6pm ish :(
over past 2 weeks now everynight at 6pm my in game pings shoot up and stay high to around 10pm
i can ping bbc.co.uk at 5.30pm and get around 30-40ms but after 6pm its up to avarage 120-190ms
i am useing Netgear DG834g router and have not changed any thing
I'd suggest you download Ping Graph from http://www.vwlowen.co.uk/internet/files.htm and run it for 24 hours, then let support have the graphs and log file to look at. The fact it's time related suggests a BT exchange congestion problem, but I can only guess. Take a look here to see if your exchange is red, though the data is often out of date. :(
Whereabouts are you in the country, and do you know if your line is interleaved?
Also, check this thread:

It is affecting a few people at the moment, whatever the reason. As Rik suggests, it might be worth getting in touch with support, and if you have some data to give them, all the better. :)

It might just be worth trying an older version of the firmware.
just tryed another router and still getting the same
Try running Ping Graph from John Owen (http://www.vwlowen.co.uk/internet/files.htm ) for 24 hours, ping www.idnet.net. Set the log to records pings over the average, and let support have the full set of graphs and log, together with a tracert. They can then investigate for you.
