As far as I know, IDNet do not block any ports, or were you thinking of something else?

Not afaik, have you tried it?

What are you wanting to do, exactly, as that might help answer you more effectively.

Just learing a little about my new connection really, what ports are open and what ports are blocked and if i can request for ports to be closed :)

I'd suggest your best bet is to have a chat with support in the morning about your specific needs. 0800 0267237. As I've said, afaik, nothing is blocked, and I'm not sure whether they can carry out individual port blocking for customers.

supose the easiest way to do it is at your personal firewall

As mentioned, AFAIK, IDNet do not block anything, so a personal firewall is your best bet. :)

Which modem/router do you have? The functinality you need is probably already built into it.

IDNET do not block any ports. one of the reason's i am with them.

Most non usb routers have a built in firewall that just needs a tweak or to to get it to do what you want, which is what exactly?
