Last Saturday it was fine is there a problem with the network today? Too many new customers?
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 6500 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 7808 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1291 kbps
TBH, that looks more like a BT issue, but I wasn't online at the time. If no-one responds here, I'd suggest you drop support an email with that test result, they can take a look to see if they had any issues.
My speeds were at maximum and I had no problems at that time yesterday. I'm on gw5 :)
Might be something to do with this.
Announcement 2008-01-31 09:41 -
2008-02-21 10:06 Good Service Status: OK
BT have announced a rolling program of upgrades which will affect most exchanges across the UK. Due to start on 1st Feb through to 20th March, BT say the engineering work required will be undertaken between midnight and 6am and during this period broadband customers are likely to experience up to 20 minutes of downtime.
I didn't run any speed tests last night, but I certainly didn't notice any speed issues. As Alf mentions, there is BT work going on at the moment, and we've seen a few cases where users are being affected for no apparent reason.
Well now its 22nd March and its got worse. My download speed is 65kbps. Thats only slightly faster than an old modem :eek4: I've emailed support now.

I have been getting some very speeds come 12-almost 8pm in the last few weeks, it tends to vary from day to day though, my exchange shows green, yesterday afternoon and evening it was crawling, as soon as midnight came it picked up, and sites are flying again, same as early morning like now. :-\
I must say that I do think this is to do with BT's maintenance, but drop IDNet an email if in doubt. :)
Particularly as we've had other posts where users are getting full speeds 24/7 - those affected seem to be both isolated and geographically distributed, which makes it all the harder to pinpoint an issue.

I always blame BT ;)
It seems the only logical answer, Gary.
