I signed up for the free 1month trial with idnet joined 7-3-08.They have just sent me a bill for £24.99 payment due 12-3-08! So gave me 1week only free trial??
Sounds like a mistake, give them a ring 0800 0267237, or drop them an email, support@idnet.net. I'm sure they'll soon sort it out for you.
Ok thx Rik
I don't think it is. I think the payment terms are in advance (ie the invoice I recieved and paid in January relates to the provision of my service in February). Therefore, the payment you are being asked for is for the period commencing after your free month. It should show the period it is for on the invoice.
Good point, Lance. :)
Invoice number Date Payment Due Total Status
xxxxx PAYMENT 12 March 2008 12 March 2008 £24.99 UNPAID Pay Now
Thats what its says when i login.
Could you have a look at the PDF of the invoice? That will confirm the period you are being charged for. Like Rik said though, if it is wrong a quick call or email to support will get it promptly resolved!
Open the invoice, David, you should then see a line which details the package and the period you are paying for, eg (02 March 2008 - 02 April 2008). I paid that on March 3.
07 March 2008 - 07 April 2008
I'm guessing that, because you started after the free month, it's a slip up. IDNet will sort it for you. :)
Thought so thx again,i think they got confused as i may have been one of the last ones to sign up to the free month trial,as it has stopped now and is no longer available on there website.
Oh well. It's an excuse to speak to the lovely Miriam!
(Although its normally Simon who deals with the accounts, who is equally as lovely!!!)
I signed up on February 28th, so dunno if I missed the free month, but my invoice says
(02 March 2008 - 02 April 2008)
It's just been taken today as a DD. Maybe you do pay in advance
The free month offer was valid until 29th Feb, but I'm not sure if you actually had to have migrated by then. Give them a call, Diss, they won't bite! ;)
Usually, you just have to have signed up, Lance. Definitely worth a call, Diss.
nah it doesn't matter - IDNet have been so good to me I'm not going to quibble about £17.99 ;D
David & Diss
When you signed up, you didn't do it via the 'free month' link, so you slipped through the net. Your next month will, however, be free. How's that? ;D
oh no i don't want a free month if I shouldn't have one - I must have just missed it. I feel bad now, I don't mind paying and lots more for IDnet cos everyone here and at CS are bloody brilliant :)
You qualified for it, Diss, it's just how the order was placed meant that it didn't flag automatically. IDNet are more than happy for you to have the month, and you will. :)
oh yeah forgot it was a manual order in the end  well thank you IDNet and thanks Rik for sorting it
NP. :)

Oo check mine Rik :D I've no idea if there even was such an offer when I joined, I just ran in a blind panic, from Nildram and paid the nice people at IDNet :D
There was no offer on when you joined, Niall, but nice try :)
Dunno if I qualify for the free month. I signed up on 29th Feb without a mac code. I got an email saying my order was taken so will just have to wait and see.
Did you use the offer link, Lona?

I did use the link, Rik, but didn't at that time have my Mac code. My order was still accepted and to date I haven't been charged anything yet.
You should be OK, Lona. It's when the link hasn't been used that the oversights occurred.
