Sounds like a mistake, give them a ring 0800 0267237, or drop them an email, support@idnet.net. I'm sure they'll soon sort it out for you.

I don't think it is. I think the payment terms are in advance (ie the invoice I recieved and paid in January relates to the provision of my service in February). Therefore, the payment you are being asked for is for the period commencing after your free month. It should show the period it is for on the invoice.

Could you have a look at the PDF of the invoice? That will confirm the period you are being charged for. Like Rik said though, if it is wrong a quick call or email to support will get it promptly resolved!

Open the invoice, David, you should then see a line which details the package and the period you are paying for, eg (02 March 2008 - 02 April 2008). I paid that on March 3.

I'm guessing that, because you started after the free month, it's a slip up. IDNet will sort it for you. :)

Oh well. It's an excuse to speak to the lovely Miriam!

(Although its normally Simon who deals with the accounts, who is equally as lovely!!!)

I signed up on February  28th, so dunno if I missed the free month, but my invoice says

(02 March 2008 - 02 April 2008)

It's just been taken today  as a DD. Maybe you do pay in advance

The free month offer was valid until 29th Feb, but I'm not sure if you actually had to have migrated by then.  Give them a call, Diss, they won't bite!  ;)

David & Diss

When you signed up, you didn't do it via the 'free month' link, so you slipped through the net. Your next month will, however, be free. How's that?  ;D

oh no i don't want a free month if I shouldn't have one - I must have just missed it. I feel bad now, I don't mind paying and lots more for IDnet cos everyone here and at CS are bloody brilliant :)

You qualified for it, Diss, it's just how the order was placed meant that it didn't flag automatically. IDNet are more than happy for you to have the month, and you will. :)

Dunno if I qualify for the free month.  I signed up on 29th Feb without a mac code.  I got an email saying my order was taken so will just have to wait and see.

I did use the link, Rik, but didn't at that time have my Mac code.  My order was still accepted and to date I haven't been charged anything yet.

You should be OK, Lona. It's when the link hasn't been used that the oversights occurred.
