I am just wondering if you use a mac do you turn it off completely at night? i don't tend to ( just put it in sleep mode) I do have to re-boot once a week or so when it gets a tad sluggish .
Also I've read you don't have to do maintenance on macs, as the system does it own house keeping. Do you run anything to keep it running smoothly or not? I run Yasu once a week.
Windows man only, sorry Diss. :(

Jerry hates macs - indeed anything to do with apple even more than he enjoys tormenting me Rik
When I got an mp3 player recently, I bought a Creative Zen, won't touch ipods
The advantage with iPods is all the accessories, docking stations etc that are available for them. I do confess, too, that the design appealed to me.
But, mps3 won't play on them unless it's licenced, it that true?
MP3s are fine, it's the iTunes format which has DRM.
So, you can just drag and drop downloaded mp3's?
That's not what I was told ???
Yes you can, Malc. It's music purchased from the iTunes Store that you can't spread across various iPods.
I'll remember that for next time I need one :thnks:

Actually, you can put it on a number of iPods, not sure how many, but I have three. You can also only install the music library on a limited number of computers, I think five.
I've got a creative mp3 as well Malc - personally prefer them to ipods, but it is each to their own.

So if you buy music from the iTunes Store, you can put it on more than one iPod? ???

Yep - me too - absolutely love it. I'm not knocking peeps who buy ipods - indeed ipod has become synonomous with mp3 players just as hoover did with vacuum cleaners - just think that sometimes peeps don't look any further than them.

Yes, definitely. The weird thing is that I can find a definitive answer that you can put the music on up to five computers, but no limit on the number of iPods. It implies that you can copy the music to any iPod that connects to the computer.
