I noticed last night, and just now, the wireless light flashing very dimly on my 2700HGV. I am currently connected to my main PC via ethernet, and am not using a wireless connection. Is this something to worry about, and how can I find out if someone is trying to, or has managed to use my connection?
Mine does it too, Simon, a brief pulse every few seconds. I've checked nothing is connecting, I suspect it's just the router polling the wireless to see if there's anything around.
Oh, OK, it's just that I never noticed it before last night. How do you check to see if anything is connecting, Rik? Would something just show up in the device list?:- http://home/xslt?PAGE=C01&THISPAGE=A01&NEXTPAGE=C01
That would do nicely.

It sounds like it's a combination of normal wireless activity, and a faulty LED (just like my ethernet LED). If you squeeze the case, I bet you'll find that the LED brightens...
Nope, doesn't do that, Seb, but it does go out completely when I disable wireless. :eyebrow: It was on again this evening, but has now gone out.
Hmm, that's strange, it really sounds like my dodgy LED!
It also went out as soon as the PC was switched off, and therefore the ethernet connection discontinued.
I wonder if it's just a poorly designed circuit which is producing sympathetic pulsing?
