I have lost wireless output and wireless menu options on BT 2wire 2700 hgv 2ssid recently, the wireless light illuminates with a steady green light. Is there some fix I am missing or is it ready for the recycling bin?
Don't know, tbh, Steve. A couple of us started having problems with wireless after the last round of Windows updates. I solved mine by moving to channel 1, so I guess it was coincidence and there was interference on 11. For me, though, the light went out.

Well that indicates that the Router has a wireless device actually connected to it.

Thanks did a factory reset to no avail, solid green wireless light comes on early in boot cycle no other available wireless devices switched on and the wireless option has disappeared from the local intranet menu ???

The wireless component of these doesn't seem to be their strong point does it? I'm now on my second 2700, after the wireless stopped working on the first.
Overall, reliability doesn't seem that great, but we only have a small sample here.
I had no issue with my wireless on mine, it did get a bit patchy around the house though but never failed :-\ hopefully Lance wont have issue with the one I sold him :(
It is indeed fine, Gary. The wireless on the dual SSID doesn't seem quite as strong as on the older hardware, but still works fine!

I'm glad about that Lance :) I noticed it was not as strong as my old router, saying that searching online seems to show the earlier ones seem more liable to fail as well :-\

Its doing well Rik, good solid wireless and no drop outs, it runs a little hotter than the V3 so I have it mounted vertically. Its very steady on the line with snr margins it seems to find the optimum sync for your noise level and stay happily put, I have tried rebooting it early morning where it syncs at 6386 but it always ends up at about 5080-5440 at night, keeping a snr of about 6.1-6.3 at night, the 2700 held the line at 5900- 6300 ish with a snr of 3 at nightime but that was always risky in case of a noise burst, my ping times are faster with the V4 for some reason although that may be coincidence Rik, all in all I'm very pleased ;D
