All fine here, as usual.. ;)
im on dsl4 and sync never dropped.. so looks like the late night cleaner at idnet office had to unplug something for the hoover? :P
I am on dsl4 as well, so not the cleaner.. ;D
No loss here on Gw5 and no Hoover either ;)
ok then, the cleaner pulled the plug that had "paul" on it and thought it said "pull" :P
bed is calling me! nite

;D ;D ;D
Connection very dodgy from 2050 to 2300 last night, dropped at least 10 times so switched the lot off.
Seems OK now (on GW5 btw)

I had no logs reporting drops or noticed any last night and I'm on Gw5, but I did have slow dns resolving a day or so back, all seems well now though :)
Paul
You were down for roughly 20 minutes, so I think that was the upgrade being done at your exchange.
My mate across the road didnt get any downtime last night and i didnt loose sync! thought you would if it was at exchange level.
Actually, you weren't down for 20 minutes, I must learn to read before typing. I still think it's possible that it's the exchange work, Paul, as BT haven't said what they are doing, and if it's on the backhaul side, you wouldn't necessarily lose sync.
The only people who could tell you for sure would be IDNet.
I will give support a poke and see what they say.
"Ouch"?
Defo have to watch what you type around here :P
Support don't know what caused it either.
Do they have any dates for when particular exchanges are being worked on?
Otherwise, we'll have to mark it down as a BT Snafu. :)
This is what Miriam said :-
QuoteTests on your line are currently showing no fault condition and giving no idea of what may have caused this.
If it happens again i will pay the exchange a visit and poke the engineer with a very big stick :P
Well, if Maz looked into it, you could be in no better hands. :)
I've just checked my logs and no reconnects here (gw5) so I can only assume it was work at the exchange, as others have said).
