Cloudo (http://www.cloudo.com/) is going to offer you a personal web-based desktop, accessible even by phone.
It appears to have all the applications, but does it have a future ?
I can see these things having a future. Log on to any machine, and on it have your desktop, with links to online office apps to work in, your files prehaps from your storage at home, and your music collection streaming from your media centre. My predictions for the future!
I think it is the way forward. We've often talked about the idea of people having 'dumb terminals', with all the apps and security maintained by the ISP. For many people it will make sense, and software could be rented by the month, say, rather than having to buy it outright.
I would agree with Rik this service looks a great idea, be interesting to see how the beta works out :)
