Title: Erratic speeds
Post by: khyron on Oct 07, 2006, 00:19:16
I am on Home 2000 as i didnt want to contend with erratic speeds but after a good 3 weeks (speedtest.net was clocking in 1885Kbps/215Kbps) till this week when speed have just been erratic ranging from 400-1400/20-70

I cant even surf the net as pages dont load correctly and if i turn my router on and off it may get 10-20mins of normal service.

I am currently using a Speedtouch 576 and i noticed that when it happens the Ethernet and Internet light are in sync all the time(which normally it isnt)

I have called customer services but havent heard anything from them. I am wondering if this is a problem with my computer/router or IDnet.
I did try using a different router with the same problem

ANy input would be great

I have called customer services but haven't heard anything from them.

Give them a call again on Monday , its unusual for CS to forget about someones call as you see from posts here they are usually on the ball.

I guess they have been  very busy  over the past few weeks with the ping issues you will have read about here.

Simon from IDNet CS views the forums here so you might get a reply over the weekend.

I spoke to miriam and i emailed her my BTspeedtest results and they were gonna get back to me but havent heard from them since.

This does not bode well as my contract ends on the 13th Oct, and i do really want to stay with idnet but if i cant even surf the net then i have to leave.
