Title: Mousepad problem
Post by: Simon on Feb 14, 2008, 21:55:56
On my Acer laptop, the mousepad and buttons work, but since I turned it on this evening, the up, down, left, right scrolling thingy in between the left and right buttons has stopped working.  This is really annoying!  I'm wondering if Windows Updates have done something?  Any ideas?

It'll probably be that the Synaptics touchpad driver has been removed and replaced with a standard driver. If you have a look at ftp://ftp.acer.co.uk/notebook/ you should be able to find the driver for your laptop. :)

Edit: Link repaired

I just solved it by reinstalling the existing driver.  I did find the driver on the Acer site, but didn't need it in the end.  :)

Thanks.  BTW, I think there's a problem with your link above, Seb.  Seems you can't do hyperlinks with ftp addresses.  ;)

You can't... I've fixed the message.
