It appears in testing with the RTM of Vista SP1 many things were fixed, like the file copy issues, but it may actually slow the performance of the OS depending on your pc configuration :-\ A review of the service pack can be found here (http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,142233-c,vistalonghorn/article.html#)
I've allways found Vista slow, even with Vista Ultimate and 4GB ram at 3.7GHz. One day i'm sure it will be sorted out. I use XP 32bit but have found 64Bit better than Vista. The driver issue has really dissapointed me mainly becaus of the troubles I had with Creative Xfi which to be fair was not to do with Microsoft.
The OS is ok for daily use, but if you like playing games you will suffer a big performance hit, that saying I still dual boot into Vista sometimes, but I find it so dissapointing.
Everyone thinks that service pack 1 will be the answer to all their problems, and Microsoft think by releasing it more will take it up. Well we will see role on windows 7 lol.
I can't believe it. How could they make Vista any slower? My move back to XP is seeming more and more sensible by the day.
It is hard to believe, but then again, this is Micro$haft! ;D
