How about an explanation of "Child Forums" Rik, I'm a bit confused. Not that is am difficult to confuse. :conf:
I think it means the same thing as sub-forum.
At first I thought it was a place for children
Right in one, Sebby, a child is just a sub-board of the top-level, or parent board. (I tend to use the term forum for the collective, and board for the constituent parts). Child boards show beneath their parent on the index page, and have a distinct icon to show when there's a new post in them. Is there anything that we haven't covered?
Ah, thanks, so simple, just like me!
Just think of it as a hard disk. In the root folder, you have an index file, and that takes you to sub-folders. Some of them have sub-folders off - that's pretty much the structure we use.
Don't feel lonely Broadback, I asked the same question months ago. ;D
