Title: Email problem
Post by: Broadback on Jan 31, 2008, 15:28:01
I have received an email from a relative which had an attachment, on opening the email was blank and the attachment (photos) unreadable with any program I could find, not only that there were 35 copies of the same email.
Asking the sender to resend it, and what programs were used I got 101 copies, several I selected unreadable. This is using XP and SeaMonkey.
I have asked her to resend to my IDNet address and will use Ubuntu and Evolution, I have not yet received it.  Any ideas as to what the problem could be please?

Spam filter along the way? What domain did it go to, eg Hotmail etc? What domain were they sending from?

I have Eset Nod32, tried turning it off still can't read it, though I am more concerned about the multiple  emails, all the same date and time.  They come from, wait for it....Tiscali.

You may have your answer there in the T word. I don't think it's NOD doing this. Is there a webmail interface at T? That might give you a clue.

Sorry, not thinking clearly, you said come from - I was thinking it was the non IDNet email address.  :(
