Stupid question, but is there an index to the symbols that appear to the left of the topic name? I can figure out that on the very left it gives you an idea of the number of replies, but what does that little yellow box stuck to the pages mean on the 'problems with BT speedtest' topic? And what about some of the symbols to the right of those? Most look like pages, but some get question marks or smileys, et al?
If you scroll to the bottom of the topic listing you should see a list of the icons, and an explanation for each. At least I think that is what you're meaning. :)
If Adam's reply doesn't help, Krysia, can you tell us what theme you are using and, if possible, grab a screen shot to show us the symbol you mean?
Thanks! Adam's reply explained the first column but not the second: most of the symbols there look like diagonally placed pages, but occasionally there's a question mark or a thuimbs up or a smiley face. (Tried to copy the image but couldn't then paste it.)
Are you thinking of the thread icon, Krysia. When you start a thread you can chose from standard, smiley, thumbs up etc. I'll make this a question mark.
You mean this, Krysia? (http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/Themes/default/images/post/xx.gif) It's the default post icon. Sometimes it appears as a mobile phone, if people post from a Sony Ericsson, and it can be changed by the drop down menu under the Subject line in the message posting box.
