Title: Is there a problem?
Post by: Danni on Jan 24, 2008, 14:25:33
Colin (Colin Burns) most likely screwed up his router setup (again) but the IDNet phoneline is also busy. As this is unusual (the phoneline being busy, not Colin messing up his router settings) I was wondering if there was a problem.

Also, can someone tell me what the router settings are meant to be so I can check his?

For the record, PPPoA, VC-Mux 0,38. Login name and password, login name is the whole thing, ie before and after the @.

The phone number being busy is unusual, but I can let you have a geographical alternative if you want it.

Thanks Rik :)

Just set up his 2700HGV for him (the new toy I wanted to play with :P). It's been a while since I had to do an ADSL connection, hence wanting to check the details :)

Should be OK, otherwise, try 01462 476555 - handy if you're on a mobile which charges for 0800 numbers.

Good tip, Rik. It's always good to have a geographical number. Plus, as IDNet probably get charged when people call the 0800, and geographical numbers are free from home, I'll use that in future. :)
