Title: Routerstats Lite and 2700
Post by: jupiter on Jan 22, 2008, 16:57:05
Anyone got Routerstats Lite running with the dual SSID BT Business Hub version of the 2700?

This is hardware version 2701-100589-005, software 5.29.107.12. Routerstats website mentions compatibility with the 2700, but I can't get it to monitor the router.

Otherwise it has been an excellent purchase - syncing at 2912 on this long 58db attenuation line, the fastest sync ever achieved - and holding it over most nights, when noise can be a problem.  The previous Speedtouch did well, but not this well.

Glad the 2700 is working as well for you as most of us, Jupiter.

I've got RS and RS Lite working fine on my 2700, but it has the SBC firmware, so I don't know what differences there might be.

What page are you using in RS for the stats, and if you enter that into your browser address bar, what does it show?

Just noticed, you might have the fabled 2701 there...

If you can't get routerstats lite to play ball, you shouldn't have a problem with the full version.

Yup thanks Lance. Got v2.8 running fine, but the noise margin recorded is weird, sudden fluctuations between 0 and 18db but no resyncs.  Average level around 6db.

Previous Netgear and Speedtouch routers have never shown such extreme fluctuations and a margin of 18db on this line has to be fantasy.

Nor have I yet got Routerstats to graph the sync speed. Still - fun playing around.

Why is the 2701 legendary Rik?  I have never had anything legendary before, well, except for the unicorn I suppose!

It's supposed to have replaced the 2700, Jupiter...

RS Lite working fine on Dual SSID, software version software 5.29.107.19

For some reason the latest versions are clearly labelled as 2700HGV but the hardware numbers starts 2701.  No idea if they are 2701s inside.

According to the 2Wire site (http://www.2wire.com/index.php?p=266) the 2700 and 2701 have different cases, so now we can tell them apart.

That's decent of them!
