A loss of DSL signal is not to do with the ISP. The PPPoA session was only lost following the loss of sync.
This is down to your line for some reason. Perhaps the SNRM dropped too low; that's usually the reason. If you've reconnected at a similar rate, I wouldn't be too concerned. If it starts to happen regularly (so much so that it impacts upon your bRAS profile, or worse your target SNRM) then we can look into it in a bit more depth for you. :)
the snr was at 8 and when it reconnected 20+mins later the snr was 9 and dropped back to 8.
after looking at the logs more there was several "dsl0: down (signal lost)" in the morning.
We had BT down the road today working on the underground thingys.. perhaps they was at the exchange aswell doing some work
???
It's certainly possible. The router shouldn't be losing sync at 8dB. See how it goes. :)
Nothing in my router logs at all, but you could well be right about it being BT!
No downtime at all here, I concur - BT strike again. :(
