It's interesting to think back to the 8-bit, 2MHz processor I was using 25 years ago, complete with 32K of RAM!  ;D

It's annoying to think that sony are sitting on the Cell processor, with it's enormous potencial of being eight core's and unlimited scalablity, it could easily wipe the floor with the competition and set sony up  for life.
But instead, nah, Let's use it in the ps3 only, and only one cpu too.
Imagine the power of PC's with say 8 cpu's, that 64 core's?

Sony's business decisions over the years have often been the cause of head-scratching. It's as if they take no account of what's happening in the world.  :(
