Title: Spoofing issue with Firefox
Post by: Rik on Jan 04, 2008, 15:39:03
El Reg (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/01/04/firefox_spoofing_bug/) is reporting a security flaw in Firefox which renders it vulnerable to phishing.

"Flaws in the way the latest version of Mozilla Firefox presents authentication dialog boxes leave the door open for cybercrooks to trick users into handing over login credentials, a leading security researcher warns."

Bring back Compuserve say I. :)

No browser will ever be 100% safe, because there's always a way to exploit something or other. As long as you keep up to date, that's good enough I say.  ;)

Indeed, Seb, and Firefox is always quick to plug any security holes.

I still use IE, having tried Firefox several times in the past. However, Firefox 3 seems great from what I can tell from the beta and I think I may well be switching to it when it is released.
