Title: Should I Ask Questions Now?
Post by: quandam on Sep 08, 2006, 17:20:02
Hi!

Three and a half days into my ten day 'training' period for MAX with an absolutely superb connection, no drop outs, rock steady all day in fact no problems at all BUT! I am consistently at a fantastically steady 2 Mb download speed.

Have had no increase in speed whatsoever over my previous 2Mb. All estimates of potential speed from my exchange have been 5Mb plus. I am approx. 400 meters from exchange and live in a new house (less than five years old) with new lines.

I don't want to 'panic' at this stage but should I ask questions now and enquire if I have in fact been placed on an 'up to' 8Mb package or simply just left on a 2 Mb package?

Any suggestions welcomed.

Update

Have contacted Simon at HQ who thinks that my BRAS profile is 'stuck' and should it continue over the weekend will report it as a fault to BT.
