Title: IGMP from 212.69.63.45 ?
Post by: BassoProfundo on Aug 30, 2006, 19:57:34
Hi there collective genii  :o

Is there any reason why I should allow my firewall to pass incoming IGMP packets from 212.69.63.45 (telehouse-bb-gw1-vpdn.idnet.net)?

Advice would be more than welcome  :banana2:

Hi BassoProfundo

I think we're almost there with getting Multicast from the BBC enabled. Those IGMP packets are multicast, if your router can cope with RTSP then you could try allowing the packets through and see if you can view the content here: http://support.bbc.co.uk/multicast/streams.html

Simon

Thanks Simon, now I understand. But I think I'll pass for the time being, though my router (Cisco 877) can certainly cope  ;D
