Title: Quicktime flaw, firewall settings
Post by: Gary on Dec 04, 2007, 12:03:11
To try and help with this vulnerability block outbound TCP activity on port 554 for Quicktime, and of course avoid unknown sites and don't open quicktime files in your email. Remember to undo the firewall rule before installing the patch, whenever that becomes available. ::)

To be honest if you don't use it much uninstall it till a new version arrives, not useful if you use itunes though, Apple are really dragging their feet over this, as there are now exploits in the wild on websites, so best to tighten your browsers security, as much as possible  >:(
