Title: DslMax Training
Post by: Lawman on Aug 24, 2006, 22:03:33
Does anyone know, when you migrate from one ISP to another,
do you have to go through the 10 day training period again,

Reason for asking, my download speeds seem to be quite erratic today,
sync rate has remained at 8128,
but a download speed of 6.2MB this morning,
has gone down to 1.8Mb then up to 2.7MB
or could it be just down to contention..  ???

I would think you have to go through the 10 day period again but I'm only guessing.

Don't know if it's normal, but when I migrated here at the beginning of August, I didn't seem to go through a new training period. Just zoomed straight up to the maximum synch rate with superb middle-of-the-night speeds.

However, I suspect I know what you mean. Although I'm not an avid speed-tester (they can wreck your life), I have noticed that, at times during the past couple of days, the "responsiveness" of surfing isn't all it should be. Made me wonder about the stability and loading on the IDNet DNS servers.

Still, generally, it's pretty awesome.

P.S. I'm thinking of starting a campaign for a greater selection of smilies !!
