Title: Purplecloud down?
Post by: Ann on Nov 23, 2007, 21:06:47
This is the first time since I changed over to puplecloud that it's fallen over.  My website is okay but email is not getting through.  It looks as though I'm collecting it but nothing sent is actually arriving.  I can't login to my account details either which is weird.  Anyone else with purplecloud got the same?

According to their status page (http://www.purplestatus.net/status/) everything is working fine. I don't use them myself, so can't offer any more help I'm afraid!

I don't use their email but have just logged in ok. I've found their status page to be pretty reliable.

No error messages, Ann? If you can't login, I wonder whether it's a password issue?

Hi guys,  It was them and not me.  My account is accessible today.  I couldn't even get the login page up yesterday, it just went to an error thing that said something like.. oops, you maybe need to reset something or other.. hit this to reset but that just got me back to the oops page again.  Emails started coming in late last night too but a bunch have never appeared.  I know that because they are email list mails and I can see them on the various websites.  I'm disappointed that they didn't flag it on their status page.  I shall contact them to ask about my missing emails.

Good luck, Ann. If they're anything like 1&1, it's OK when it's working, but...  :(

I have actually had a long and detailed reply from puplecloud.  It seems to be a bit like IDNet.. just replace the name Simon with Alasdair.  Just found a forum over there too.. will try it out.
